Modulor — Business Operating System for Freelancers
The modular workspace for freelancers and solo consultants. Only install and pay for what you use: CRM, Invoicing, Projects, and AI Chat.

01 · The Business Challenge
What the company was struggling with
Kenyan freelancers, consultants, and one-person agencies struggle with fragmented tools: client leads lost across WhatsApp chats, complex $50/mo international CRMs requiring foreign dollar cards, manual spreadsheet invoicing, and delayed client payments. Most project management platforms are built for large corporate teams, creating unnecessary software bloat.
02 · The Solution I Engineered
How I engineered a lasting fix
Architected and built Modulor using the MERN stack with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and Tailwind CSS. Modulor operates on a modular "Business OS" philosophy: users only install the apps they need (Client CRM, Invoicing with automated M-Pesa STK push, Task & Project Management, File Organization, and AI Chat Dashboard). Includes real-time data sync, brand document styling, and automated reminders.
